I'm going to start with the animal stuff, I did another hibrid a few weeks ago, the resin is still not completely hard for polish but i can handle it with my hands. This hibrid is a Fire salamander with bird wings (i don't know wich kind yet), rabbit bones as armor and a rat jaw as helmet, I'm very happy with thisone!!!
Remember that the resin block is still to be polished.
I went to vist a taxidermist and the taught me some cool techniques, this luvly pigeon is the animal we did. Is a bit deformed and wabely but I'm proud of it for being the first. I was impressed with the techniques and that you only need some borax (mineral) to preserve it!
The biggest mistake here was that i did the head slightly too big, when i was skining the boar i did some cuts on the skin, when it dried, the skin contracted and widened the cuts.
This is only the skin, i have the tonge frozen, i think it can be taxiermised as well! :P
Special metion for the picture that shows the messines in the studio when carving the head!
To continue some sculpting. I did some kind of fence with praying mantis motives, the challenge here is to manage to fit bronxe in all of it. Due its shape is very dificult to so, many bubbles and thin paths can about bronze to flow properlly. Check all the entries and exits to try to make a nice bronze flow.
